在更早之前，有出了一個2D的星際大戰動畫Star Wars:Clone Wars，故事是發生在電影複製人全面進攻和西斯大帝的復仇之間發生的故事，像是安納金臉上的疤和機器人將軍會一直咳嗽的原因都在裡面有交代。





而最新的則是在這段卡通中間又補上了用3D動畫做成的故事Star Wars:The Clone Wars，在Cartoon Network播放，除了一集集的故事之外，還有出了一部電影，如圖：


在電影中安納金收了一個小女孩當學徒，基本先看完電影再接著看它的影集，否則會不知道那個學徒怎麼來的。目前第一季已經播畢一共22集，計畫是出100集。

故事是在描寫共和國和分離勢力之間的戰爭(複製人部隊 VS 機器人部隊)，由於這是銀河的全面戰爭，因此發生大大小小的戰役，所以有許故事可以寫，每集除了背景時間有連貫，幾乎都是獨立的故事。
除了電影裡那些主要角色外，如安納金、歐比王、杜庫、尤達外，對於其他絕地大師，甚至是複製人都有可能是某集的要角，片中可以知道複製人軍隊雖然都是同一個人的基因，但其實每個都有不同的名字、個性，甚至感情，這些在電影３部曲中幾乎沒著墨的地方。

每集開始之前，都會有一段格言，基本上就是這一集的主旨。
像第一集就是尤達帶著幾個複製人軍人突破敵人的阻擊，並在期間鼓勵、教導他們。
